Jenny Bray performs classical piano music and original songs. She studied the Performing Arts at
The College of Ripon and York St. John. She majored in Choreography and composition and was
awarded the highest grade for choreography that the school had ever given.
She continued her piano studies through the Royal Schools of Music and later at the Juiliard School in New York. After leaving college,
she had numerous Theatre and cabaret engagements whilst also working as a music therapist
in hospitals for the physically and mentally challenged. Her school of music in Hull had 60 pupils
studying piano, guitar and music theory. She was the featured composer in a BBC radio series and
had numerous television performances.
Recordings include Fairview Studios, BBC, EMI, Generic Chaos Productions, Newtown, P.A.
Graphic Sound and WHYY Philadelphia. Jenny emigrated to America and enrolled at
The Juilliard School New York in 1991.
Notable classical performances in the States and UK, include piano works of Couperin and Ravel,
Mozart Piano Concerto K 466, 'Toujours La France', a piano and dance tour with members of the
Princeton Ballet Company USA, and pianist 'Cabaret' Edinburgh Fringe Festival UK '98,
Founder and Director Original Children's Theatre Company New Jersey USA - productions 1995, to 2000.
Founder and Director/pianist of 'The Wolf Gang', performing Prokofiev's Peter & The Wolf, Stravinsky's Petrushka,
Howard Blake's The Snowman, and Seans-Saint Carnival of The Animals.
Keyboard/vocalist UK tour with American based 'Jenny Bray Band' performing her own original songs.
Having returned to England,
Jenny is now resident in Nafferton, East Yorkshire where she teaches piano and voice production.
